MSME / Udyam Registration in India
Register your micro, small or medium enterprise on the government Udyam portal and unlock collateral-free loans, subsidies, tender preference and delayed-payment protection. End-to-end support from Aidwish, serving businesses across India.
Who should register for Udyam / MSME
MSME / Udyam registration in India is the official way for micro, small and medium enterprises to be recognised by the Government of India and become eligible for a wide range of schemes, credit benefits and legal protections. The registration is done on the government's Udyam portal, is fully paperless and self-declaration based, and results in a permanent Udyam Registration Number and an e-certificate. Whether you run a manufacturing unit, a trading firm, a service business or a startup, Aidwish helps you complete the process correctly the first time so you can start claiming benefits without delay.
Under the revised MSME framework, enterprises are classified by a combined investment and annual turnover test. As per the enhanced limits announced in the Union Budget, a Micro enterprise has investment up to Rs. 2.5 crore and turnover up to Rs. 10 crore; a Small enterprise up to Rs. 25 crore investment and Rs. 100 crore turnover; and a Medium enterprise up to Rs. 125 crore investment and Rs. 500 crore turnover. Investment and turnover figures are picked up automatically from your linked PAN, GST and income-tax data, so accurate details matter.
Aidwish is a pan-India business consulting firm headquartered in Lucknow. We handle Udyam registration, re-registration and related MSME compliance for clients in every state and union territory, remotely and end to end, so you never have to navigate the portal or interpret classification rules on your own.

Questions, answered
Is Udyam / MSME registration free?
Yes. Registration on the official government Udyam portal carries no government fee at all. Aidwish charges only a modest professional service fee for handling classification, filing and certificate download on your behalf, and we caution clients against third-party sites that demand a government charge.
How long does MSME registration take?
For most straightforward cases the Udyam Registration Number and certificate are issued on the same day, often within minutes of submission once Aadhaar OTP is verified. Timelines can vary slightly depending on portal availability and verification of your linked PAN and GST data.
What are the benefits of Udyam registration?
Udyam status unlocks collateral-free loans under the CGTMSE scheme, priority-sector lending, various subsidies, and preference in government tenders and GeM procurement. It also gives you delayed-payment protection under the MSMED Act and access to interest and electricity concessions offered by many schemes.
Is Aadhaar mandatory for Udyam registration?
Yes. The Aadhaar number of the proprietor, managing partner or authorised signatory is mandatory and is verified through an OTP sent to the linked mobile number. PAN and, where applicable, GSTIN are also required so that investment and turnover figures auto-populate from official records.
Do I need to re-register or migrate my old registration?
Businesses registered earlier under Udyog Aadhaar or EM-II must migrate to the Udyam system, and existing Udyam holders may be asked to update or re-validate details periodically. Aidwish handles migration and re-registration, verifies your linked data and issues an updated certificate.
Can traders and service businesses register under MSME?
Yes. Both manufacturing and service enterprises are eligible, and retail and wholesale traders can also register on the Udyam portal to onboard GeM and access certain benefits. We map all your activities under a single Udyam registration using the appropriate NIC codes.
